Police said a hugger outside the Tennessee Aquarium made off with a man's money clip. It contained several important cards, including his bank card and Sam's Club card. Police said Bernard Betts was stopped on Williams Street carrying a large bag that had copper pipes inside. Police said the copper was worth about $300. Leon Payne said he and a friend were approached by a black male asking for money. He said after he gave the man a few dollars he shook his hand and then hugged him. He admitted he entered an unlocked door at the old, recently-renovated Industrial YMCA on Mitchell Street and cut and removed the copper pipe.
