To help clear things up, the Knight Foundation has teamed with the NEA to present the NEA Community Arts Journalism Challenge, announced this summer to find new ways to use technology to inform and engage people in the arts. The five finalists are: several major media outlets and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, creating the Charlotte Arts News Alliance. Up to three of those plans will receive $80,000 to implement their plans.
